PROBLEM: The Wisconsin 2020 primary election, held on April 7,

was a chaotic scene

.

  • On the day before the election, the courts, the governor, and the legislature were battling over whether the election would be held or postponed, leaving voters and poll workers uncertain
     

  • Nearly 80% of voters cast their votes absentee, a shattering record in a state with a previously low propensity for voting by mail

  • Democratic groups are suing the state to eliminate requirements such as a witness signature, as well as to send a blank ballot to every voter, while the Institute for Law and Liberty is suing the Board of Elections to strike 200,000 names from voter rolls that they believe are ineligible.
