Election Day

PROBLEM: Pennsylvania’s

April 2020 primary was moved

back to June 2020 – and riddled

with problems.

  • Officials opened only one polling place in every jurisdiction other than Philadelphia and Pittsburgh

  • Voters stood in long lines, contradicting CDC recommendations for social distancing and crowd control

  • 2,000 voters in Montgomery County who requested to vote absentee received incorrect ballots

  • The slow counting of absentee ballots – only 10% counted in Philadelphia four days after the election – meant that voters did not know the winner until weeks afterwards

Yes – voters have six days to “cure” their ballots
